Meet Raya (“Ray of Sunshine”)

AKA “Ray-Ray” or more commonly “Ray-roo” after a kangaroo because of how high she can jump!

“LAVENDER GIRL” FROM THE BOODLES-JAX 10/22 LITTER FINALLY LANDED AT HER FUREVER HOME WITH US IN MARYLAND ON JANUARY 4TH, 2023.

Raya is a very special girl because she was our breeder’s litter pick from another GANA breeder, and is going to be a mommy (dam) of future Fox Creek Farm Goldendoodles puppies. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and are so blessed and excited to be her guardian family!

Raya at 6.5 months.

We adopted Raya (“Ray of Sunshine”), a 10 week old petite-mini Goldendoodle, on January 4th, 2023 with less than 48 hours notice. She was “lavender” girl” from the Boodles/Jax litter born 10/22/22 at River Falls Goldendoodles in South Carolina. We adopted her by way of Fox Creek Farm Goldendoodles, in Berkeley Springs, WV, where we got our 5 year old mini-Goldendoodle, Puffles, from.

Confused yet? CLICK HERE for her gotcha blog. Raya is a Guardian program dog for Fox Creek Farm, and is going to be a dam (mommy) of future FCF puppies! More blogs and photos below.

Raya’s First Maternity Shoot, April 2024

Raya came into her second heat in April 2024, and is presumed pregnant at this time and due to deliver her first litter of puppies on June 19th! Her first litter of puppies will go home to new owners in mid-August 2024.

Via Fox Creek Farm Goldendoodles:

Raya has honeymooned with Hank and is due 6/19 for a litter of petites! Raya is 15 lbs and Hank is 23 lbs. We are expecting the puppies to be 20-25 lbs. Some puppies may have the potential to be smaller. All of the puppies will have a straight coat like the parents. We are expecting shades of red/golden/blonde and parti colors. The puppies will be ready for their new homes mid August! We are accepting a few more applications for her litter. You can see more info and apply at www.goldendoodles.net/availablepuppies.

August 2023, Some Recent Photos of Raya at 9 Months

I haven’t had time to write any blogs, but I finally did get three months worth of photos uploaded! Baby girl is 16 pounds now, so she’s gained another 2 pounds in the last three months. She’s supermodel cute and she knows it! We still think she’ll reach about 18-20 pounds fully grown, but she’s definitely plateaued in growth now. She’s nearly as tall and as long as Puffles, but half the width and weight, and probably about twice as fast!

Raya posing in the yard.

“Be sure to get me from my good angle!” (what bad angle is there??)

Another backyard pose.

She’s a happy girl!

Sunning herself.

She has the best smile!

Excited at the beach!

Going for a walk on the beach and getting treats.

Sprints across the beach. As fast as I can?? Yes as fast as you can, baby girl!

May 2023, Some Recent Photos of Raya at 6 Months

She’s lost that little whiff of white hair on top of her head, but otherwise all of her features remain the same. She’s soooo cute and a bundle of fun furry joy and energy. She’s 14 pounds at 6 months old. We think she’ll top out right at around 20 pounds, the same as her mama Boodles and papa Jax.

What About Puffles?

Puffles, our first doggy baby, has been and continues to be an amazing dog and absolutely perfect for us. He’s been a great companion, and is super smart and has a great personality. We love him to pieces, but I ran out of time in general the past few years to keep posting photos of him, and after two years they’re fully grown so not much month to month changes any more. I will post some recent photos of him on his pages though, when I get some time to breathe! Puffles pages are below. :)
