Photography

At the start of 2020, I thought it would be fun to start posting dailyish cool photos on Gab.com, the new open-source social media network. Who knew that in such a short time, the curation of old favorite photos of mine would turn into a form of therapy as the world locked down from the coronavirus pandemic! Well, I haven’t quite been daily, but pretty darned close, and already have a hundred photos posted. I figured I would put this up on my website to allow others to enjoy as well, and for a nice change of scenery. Hopefully this will all be over very soon.

I’ve been into photography since 2006, and it’s been a great hobby for me over the years that I’ve really enjoyed. I don’t have nearly the time to caption all of these photos, so if you’re wondering about the when, where, or how, just contact me and I’d be happy to tell you, or you might be able to catch them on my Gab hashtag, #k2xxstevephotography.

Your camera doesn’t matter, but I’m mostly shooting with a full-frame Canon EOS RP (now an R6) camera these days, a whole bunch of nice lenses, and then also a Fuji X100F for more casual photos. I prefer full frame because I like the more organic looks of the photos better, and because they just work better with all of the classic full-frame lenses, many of which tend to be a bit awkward on crop frame cameras. The other reason is because I can get the look that I like straight off of the camera a bit easier with a full-frame camera, whereas I tend to want to tweak more with a crop frame, which I don’t have time to do.

I do have a PHOTOGRAPHY section of my website that you can check out. Do check out my Secrets To Getting Great Photos blog as well. Hope you enjoy!
